Projects

Invisible Dog: a feature documentary film exploring the challenges of highly creative people who live with existential depression. We talk with gifted creatives to get their thoughts on usefulness, culture, isolation, labels, high sensitivity, creativity, and emotional management.  We’ll also hear from people who have lost loved ones from ongoing struggles with, what Churchill called, “The Black Dog.” We’ll explore studies, literature, and art on the topic, interviewing artists, therapists, scientists, and the like to examine cultural, chemical and genetic factors and what might aid the ‘development potential’ (Dabrowski’s theory) in these individuals to fulfill their potential.

Scheduled for production in 2017

Dog Feed Dog: A documentary and transmedia production in process about economies, mutualism, and joy. Rather than the philosophy of ‘dog eat dog’ in business and life, we look at how others are proving that dog can better *feed* dog and have a better life doing it. Featuring Judy Wicks, with Natalie Jeremijenko, Michael Shuman, Stacy Mitchell, and more.

Written, directed and produced by Hassen Saker.
